Effective October 20, 2014, Retired Col. David Augustine will act as the new Chairmain for the Northeastern Indiana Defense Industry Association. At the combined Northeast Indiana Industry Association (NIDIA) and Fort Wayne Base Community Council (BCC) luncheon, Mr. Scott Maddox, the Treasurer for NIDIA announced that the Executive Board, under the leadership of Mr. Jeff Uhey, has selected Col. David Augustine (ret) as the new Chairman effective Oct 20th, 2014. Jeff Uhey quoted “Col Augustine is the right leader, at the right time and the right place to take NIDIA to new levels. His passion for the military and defense industries in Northeast Indiana is unprecedented.” In addition to NIDIA, Augustine will also begin his new position as the Senior Vice President of Business Development for Stryke Industries on Oct 20th. Stryke Industries is a defense firm committed to growing companies that are devoted in making quality products for the warfighter. Augustine quoted, “Stryke Industries is a perfect addition to NIDIA. My goal is to bring significant growth to Northeast Indiana defense firms and the tools that Stryke brings to the table are unprecedented.” Col. Augustine is excited to also garner increased involvement from local colleges and universities to ensure we are producing Hoosiers with the skills necessary to capitalize on significant defense opportunities.
