Fort Wayne, Ind.—The Northeast Indiana Defense Industry Association has announced the agenda and speakers for its semi-annual NIDIA Mega Conference, which will take place on Friday, April 17, at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). The all-day conference is being co-sponsored by the Northeast Indiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), the Northeast ISBDC, and the IPFW Division of Continuing Studies. The spring 2015 NIDIA Mega Conference will take place in the IPFW Walb Student Union’s International Ballroom from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with sign-in starting at 9 a.m. This all-day event is open only to members of the Northeast Indiana Defense Industry Association (NIDIA) and includes a complimentary lunch courtesy of NIDIA and the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership (NEIRP). The theme of the conference is “Collectively Solving the DoD’s Innovation Challenge: Key Enablers, Leaders and Strategies.” The event will include a welcome by the new NIDIA President, Retired Colonel David L. Augustine, and various speakers, including Major General Omer “Clif” Tooley, commander of the Atterbury-Mascatatuk Urban Training Center of the Indiana National Guard, and Shane Springer, executive director of the Indiana PTAC, among several other key figures. Opportunities for networking with the event speakers and other NIDIA members will be recurring throughout the day.
