Here are some National SBIR/STTR Updates to be aware of:

DoD SBIRs and STTRs – Due June 22, 2016  by 6AM! The current solicitations can be found here, and while the Q&A period of speaking directly with the Technical points of Contact have passed for each topic, you can still submit questions through SITIS until June 8th.  To submit a question or to view the current Q&As for a particular topic, simply click on the topic link.

DoE SBIRs and STTRs are due out in July, due in November .

Advanced Manufacturing is just one area the Department of Energy is focusing on to drive innovation and growth. Check out more here. Dedicated to helping small, advanced technology firms, DOE offers Phase 0 assistance to eligible SBIR/STTR Phase I applicants from underrepresented groups. Eligible companies and individuals may apply for and receive specialized proposal preparation and review assistance developed to increase successful application submissions. EPA SBIRs for 2017 are due out in June – more information and details on past awards can be found here.

NSF SBIRs and STTRs – are open!  Their next due dates are June 16, and 20, 2016 respectively,  and NSF has 1 more Q&A webinar for applying to the NSF for Phase I funding.  This webinar is showing on this upcoming Wednesday, June 1, 2015 – please register here if you are considering applying: http://www.nsf.gov/eng/iip/sbir/Webinar/PhaseI.jsp . Be sure to watch the video at the bottom of the page prior to the Q&A webinar.

USDA SBIRs and STTRs are due out in June with a due date of October.  Check out the topics, last year’s solicitation, and recently funded topics here and in this flyer. Reach out directly to Dr. Cleland with any questions you might have.
