Steve Lutz entered the US Army as a Field Artillery Officer in 1971 after graduating from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA. He served worldwide on Active Duty in a variety of positions/ duties, including commanding a Field Artillery Battalion during Operations Desert Shield/ Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia/ Iraq. Steve retired from the Army in 2000 – taking a position with the Raytheon Company in Fort Wayne – where he served as a Program Manager for 3 military software development efforts (Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems – AFATDS; US Navy Destroyer DDX 1000; Special Operations “Dragonfire” Series Radio/ Network). He retired from Raytheon in July 2013, and remains active in the Fort Wayne Community
Major General Omer C. (Clif) Tooley Jr. serves as president of defense development for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, appointed by Governor Eric J. Holcomb in 2019. In this role, he is responsible for growing Indiana’s defense industry by promoting the state’s defense assets, assisting in business development, and attracting and supporting defense-related industry partnerships and activities under the direction of Indiana Secretary of Commerce Jim Schellinger.
Brian D. Peterson was named Vice President, Supply Chain Management in October of 2015. Since being employed with AM General, he has held the positions of Executive Director Supply Management, Director Supply Management, Senior Manager Indirect Supply Management and Manager Purchasing Systems and Sub-Contracts. In his current responsibilities, he establishes the current and long-range supply chain objectives, plans, and policies, for all procurement activities. He leads a supply chain department responsible for satisfying requirements that support both the U.S. Government and commercial entities.

Techfest is November 22. This is a Fort Wayne community outreach for high school students. It doesn’t cost anything for a company to have a booth at the career fair. This provides students the opportunity to see all the great companies in our area that hire people with STEM degrees.

We NEED YOU to fill our College & Career Expo – Join us in providing information to students of Northeast Indiana on where to get their education and to find STEM careers in their own backyard. There is no booth charge! The expo will run from 8:00 am till 1:00 pm on the day of the event. Each student receives points for every expo booth they visit so plan on being very busy. You may just find your next star student, intern, or employee!

New event from DEF Bloomington featuring the NavalX on Wednesday, October 16th at Dallara IndyCar Factory at 5:30 PM. For those individuals from organizations that have already developed a System Security Plan (SSP), a Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M), and an Incident Response Plan (IRP), you will have the opportunity to ask experts specific questions about meeting the requirements of NIST SP 800-171 at your company.
Intended audience: Individuals from organizations desiring to become compliant with DFARs 252.204-7012 (Safeguarding Covered Defense Information and Cyber Incident Reporting) using the NIST 800-171 (Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Systems and Organizations) security guidelines.
