• Luncheon with General Arnold W. Bunch (UPDATE: NOW VIRTUAL-HYBRID)

    Due to the recent travel advisory implemented by the state of Ohio, Gen. Arnold Bunch Jr. is unable to join us in-person for the luncheon scheduled for October 21st at Ceruti’s in Ft. Wayne. However, the General will still present and engage in a question and answer session with Northeast Indiana stakeholders in a hybrid Zoom format. We will still host the luncheon in-person at Ceruti’s and encourage all ticket holders to wish to attend in-person to join us.

    If you have already registered and would prefer to attend virtually we will provide you with the link and password to the Zoom meeting.

  • NIDIA Member GovParts, LLC Achieves Milestones

    Fort Wayne business and NIDIA member GovParts, LLC, has achieved recent milestones to help solidify its position as a top defense contract manufacturer and broker, including becoming HUBZone Certified by the SBA, and Higher Quality Certified by the U.S. Defense Contract Management Agency. The firm is owned by Northeast Indiana SBDC clients James L. Jackson and Chad M. Ross, who serve as mentors to many Hoosier small businesses seeking to work in defense contract manufacturing.

  • Lifeline Data Centers Open House

    Lifeline Data Centers in Fort Wayne is hosting an Open House to tour their facility and meet the owners and would like to invite NIDIA members.

    Event Description:
    Lifeline Data Centers Ft. Wayne Data Center will be the first commercially available EMP (electromagnetic pulse) CME (Coronal Mass Ejection) shielded data center in the United States. The facility will house 84,000 square feet of colocation and private cloud space that is protected through a reinforced structure with a custom, state of the art, electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) shield.

    Get a sneak peak into this historic facility. Co-owners Alex Carroll and Rich Banta will be available to discuss any questions you may have regarding the technology behind the data center and why Lifeline selected Fort Wayne as its newest location.

  • Ivy Tech Apprenticeship Grant/Opportunities

    Ivy Tech was on a team that was awarded a $5.9M grant from the United States Government focused on apprenticeships.

    NIDIA supported the award of this grant:

    “The Northeast Indiana Defense Industry Association (NIDIA) strongly supports the American Association of Port Authorities Strong, Secure National Ports and Supply Chain (SNaPS) proposal to create cybersecurity apprenticeship programs. NIDIA will consider partnering with Ivy Tech Community College of lndiana’s Fort Wayne Campus (Ivy Tech Fort Wayne) and the American Association of Port Authorities to create and implement cybersecurity apprenticeships in the Northeast Indiana defense industry. NIDIA member industries may also host apprenticeships as part of the programs. ”

  • Luncheon with General Arnold W. Bunch next Wed. (10/21/20)

    Don’t miss this opportunity! Join us next Wed, October 21, 2020 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm for a luncheon and conversation with Gen. Arnold W. Bunch Jr., Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

    During this event, General Bunch will present the mission of the Air Force Materiel Command; talk about his long and distinguished career in Air Force Operations, Flight Test and Acquisition; provide his thoughts on the future of the Air Force in the digital age and conclude with his views on leadership. Following his presentation, guests will be encouraged to ask questions.

    NIDIA Members are eligible for two (2) FREE tickets per member company!

    All are welcome and encouraged to attend Gen. Bunch’s presentation. Ceruti’s is following the required state guidelines for social distancing and sanitation. A copy of their written policy is available upon request. However, for any of you who do not quite yet feel comfortable or feel you are currently at high risk, we would understand if you prefer to stay back. We want all to feel comfortable as we transition back to some normality.
